A new technology for electronic ink looks set to finally change the way we access information.
Sony has been spearheading the development of the technology, and is using it in it's new portable reader.
The text is incredibly sharp and clear, and the screen doesn't need backlighting for you to read what's on it. Testers report that it is very easy to read and you don't feel the eye-strain you can feel with normal screens.
It looks like we'll finally get a workable way to read information on the move. Here come the electronic newspapers and magazines we were promised all those years ago!
Watch out for some entrepreneurs taking advantage of this opportunity over the next few years with specialist e-journals, magazines and book collections.
