This week I was reminded how true entrepreneurs never keep their secrets to themselves, they pass them on by mentoring the next generation.
I met Al Gosling of the Extreme Media Group this week. He's an entrepreneur who founded his extreme sports business in 1995 at the age of 24. It's now a successful international group employing hundreds of people and with its own TV station, magazine, drinks brand, and so on.
But he doesn't just sit back and count his money. Apart from always having new ideas he wants to pursue, he mentioned to me that he's mentoring James Murray Wells of Glasses Direct, who is also a successful young entrepreneur.
I've seen this kind of mentoring relationship so many times, and it's always great to see people who could easily say they're too busy take the time to help the next generation of entrepreneurs.
