As co-incidence would have it I'm currently in a Starbucks in the heart of the City in London - and my feedreader has just downloaded a blog post from Saul Klein about an Open Coffee session he is organising in another London Starbucks every Thursday.
Saul's an influential guy - he's a VP at Skype, a Venture Partner at respected VC Index Ventures, and an angel investor in many successful tech startups - so the opportunity to grab a coffee with him is a dream come true for most entrepreneurs.
But he's doing more than just organising a little coffee morning. His aim is to start a network of places where entrepreneurs know that they can pop in, grab a coffee, use the wi-fi and meet other entrepreneurs - as well as some investors.
It's a great way to get everyone out from behind their closed doors, networking, bouncing ideas around and just building the entrepreneurial community in the UK. So I think it really is a case of 'open sesame' on an Alladin's Cave of entrepreneurial opportunity.
So if you want to find out about Saul's OpenCofee, or if you would like to start an OpenCoffee session in your area? Visit Saul's Blog for more information.
I'm meeting Saul next Friday, the day after his first OpenCoffee session, so I'll find out how it went and report back.
