Here's a video of a panel discussion at an event in the States. It shows the power of a simple, focused, good idea - and how web technology is empowering entrepreneurs to implement their ideas very easily and cheaply.
On the panel are:
- Marcus Kazmierczak, vp of engineering, mayasmom.com
- Markus Frind, Founder, PlentyofFish.com
- James Hong, Co-Founder, HotorNot.com
- Dave Lu, CEO, Fanpop.com
- Karen Northup, CEO and Founder, CoreFino.com
The panel is moderated by Guy Kawasaki, whose blog brought the video to my attention.
Pay particular attention to the revelations of Markus Frind and James Hong - they really prove that you don't need big investment, fancy offices and lots of staff to make a good idea work.
It's also well worth visiting the websites of each panel member to see what they do and how they do it.
What do you think of what they say? I'd be very interested to read your comments below.
